Crack growth analysis
I could write a simple script to model crack growth
and failure through a structure. It would be based on an
evolutionary algorithm similar to the topology optimization script.

Fatigue analysis
I plan to develop a very basic fatigue analysis script to integrate
with CalculiX. The basic fatigue analysis capability will use Miners Sums and
Fatigue Diagrams methods. Essentially all it would need is a simple block
load history alongwith the material endurance limit and slope of SN curve.
Substructure analysis
I could develop a substructure module that can extract internal forces from an
assembly model for you to directly apply to a breakout component model.
This can save you enormous solve time as you only need to build a coarse model of
a large assembly.
With the substructure program you would be able to extract all
the internal forces acting on any cross-section in the assembly model. These internal
forces can then be directly applied to a finer meshed component model to
get an accurate picture of what is going on locally.
